Welcome to the Tokyo International Exchange College Ikebukuro!
On April 7th, when the cherry blossoms were fluttering, first new students started the school year with fresh spring breeze, and an orientation was held.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many students were unable to enter Japan so not only the students but also the faculty and staff have been waiting for this day for a long time.
At the beginning of the orientation, President Hayama and Principal Ezaki expressed their gratitude and enthusiastic welcome to the new students. Following the placement test, class guidance and lifestyle guidance were given. The students looked like joyful with sparkling eyes while listening intently to the orientation.
While they were waiting for enrollment, we did our best to support them in order to alleviate their anxiety as much as possible. We actively created opportunities to interact with them such as setting up online-conversation time or holding interviews via ZOOM application.
From now on, other new students will be enrolled sequentially till the end of May.
We are doing our utmost to support our students who are pursuing their hopes and dreams at all aspects of Japanese language learning as well as daily life!
