First graduation ceremony held at TIEC Ikebukuro

On the 6th of march, we held our first graduation ceremony for our 46 inaugural students from 9 countries around the globe, including China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Philippines, and America on campus. Each students recieved their diplomas from our principal Ezaki individually. Sun Hsueh Ting, our student from China who are set to study grad school at Shizuoka University were chosen as the valedictorian to encourage her sucess.

Graduation ceremony came to an end after students sang “wings to fly” all together  and our CEO and teachers at TIEC given their speeches.

After the ceremony, we interviewed our students to further know their experiences at TIEC Ikebukuro.

“I was surprised about how diciplined Japanese people are at following the rules. I’ve study really hard to remember Kanji, but it all paid off when I was employed by a company in Japan. I will do my best to work harder than everyone else.”—–Joaquin(philippines)

What was memorable is that Japanese people were really kind when I needed help, I’m grateful for what they have done for me. “Becoming friends with people around the world was the biggest fortune at TIEC. Though I had some hard times studying Japanese and planning my career path, I was able to enjoy my live here in Japan thanks to the supports from the pricipal, staffs and teachers”—–Meng WenLi (China)

“I decided to come to Japan to study Japanese because I’ve always had in interest in Japanese cultures when I was a kid, I am looking forward to have the chance to work in Japan after I graduate from my buisness school.”—–Myint(Sri Lanka)

“After taken Japanese classes in highschool, my interest in Japan has grown and I’ve decided to come to Japan to learn more about its culture. After grasuation, I will now move on to learn management and hope to return to my home town to start my own buisness.”—–Panavala(Sri Lanka)

“I will start my study of clinical psychology from April. My goal is to move on to grad school  and becoming a clinical psychologist. I want to become someone who can help people in the medical field.”—–Wan LiPeng(China)
