On September 4th (Monday) and 6th (Wednesday), we held experiential learning at the Ikebukuro Disaster Prevention Center.
They experienced earthquakes, smoke, and firefighting, and also conducted training on how to provide first aid. Many of the students had never experienced a disaster firsthand, but everyone approached the exercises with great seriousness.
One student shared their thoughts, saying, “Today, I was able to have a valuable experience filled with the tension of being in a real earthquake or fire, and it was very informative. In the future, even if we encounter actual earthquakes or fires, I hope to apply the lessons we learned today.”
